The Diamond: carbon filtration and softening in one tank
The Diamond layers a full softening bed over activated carbon in one tank: one footprint, one valve, one install, for city-water homes where hardness and disinfectant taste and odor are both on the table and the mechanical room is tight. Ships with a WS1 five-button control valve, 3/4 in × 1 in PVC connection elbows, and gravel underbedding.
Qualifying systems carry a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Written Lifetime Limited Warranty terms are provided to dealers.

What is in The Diamond's tank?
1.0 ft³ of 8% crosslink softening resin layered over 0.5 ft³ of activated carbon, over a gravel underbedding, in a 10 × 54 jacketed mineral tank with a 16 × 40 brine tank and a WS1 five-button downflow brining valve.
When does a dealer quote The Diamond instead of two separate tanks?
On city water where hardness and disinfectant taste or odor are both on the table, the grain load fits a 30,000-grain class softener, and the mechanical room has space for one tank and a brine tank. Chloramine supplies, larger grain loads, higher peak flow or a separate carbon service schedule usually call for a Black Diamond ahead of a Diamond Soft instead.
How is The Diamond sized?
Like any softener: people × 75 gallons × hardness in grains per gallon, multiplied by 7 and divided by 0.75 for usable capacity. If the result exceeds the 30,000-grain class, quote a larger Diamond Soft with a separate Black Diamond carbon filter.
